About the class

An invigorating class aimed at those with a basic understanding of the dance style and knowledge of technique, who are wanting to further develop their skills. The class will look at the importance of understanding the fundamentals of classical ballet techniques. There will be an emphasis on the ‘how’ and ‘why’ we do particular steps, delivered in an engaging and artistic way.

Suitable for those working at an intermediate/advanced level.

Booking

Booking Changes **  An upgrade to our booking system means the first time you book a class you will need to make a new account.

Online booking: Tickets can be booked in advance online and it will close 30 minutes before the start time. Please ensure all personal information is entered correctly when booking your class.

In-person: Tickets can also be brought by cash or card at reception on the day, places are subject to availability.

Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded or transferred unless the class/event is cancelled.

Concessions are available to those who are:

  • Armed forces

ID will be required on arrival

Anything comfortable that lets you move freely. You can wear tracksuit bottoms, leggings & t-shirts for most classes. Please wear light-soled trainers or dance shoes (if you have them), Contemporary and yoga classes are bare feet.
Yes, we recommend you come to the studios changed and ready to go, however, changing/shower facilities are open.
No. we don’t have lockers so please take all your valuable possessions with you into the studio from the changing rooms.
Yes, please bring your refillable water bottle with you. You can take bottles with you into the studios.
You won’t be allowed to join a class if you’re more than 15 minutes late. This is because you’ll have missed the warm-up, which increases your chance of injury.

Tutor

Sebastian Loe

Ballet Tutor (he/him)

Sebastian Loe trained at White Lodge, Upper School and danced as a coryphée in Northern Ballet for 12 years. He also performed for a season with Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Some of Sebastian’s repertoire included:

  • Scrooge in Massimo Moricone’s ‘A Christmas Carol’
  • Benvolio ‘Romeo and Juliet’ ‘
  • Renfield in David Nixons’ ‘Dracula’
  • Horatio ‘Hamlet’
  • Puck ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’

Sebastian also choreographed two Children’s ballets (The Ugly Duckling and Tortoise & The Hare) that have toured across the UK. These ballets were also adapted and filmed for Cbeebies. The Ugly Duckling was awarded a children’s BAFTA.
