Professional dance artists and practitioners have lots to be excited about today with the launch of Birmingham Pro Class.   This brand new non-profit initiative by local dance artists, companies and organisations aims to provide, sustain and contribute to professional classes in the City.

Responding to the ambition of the city’s dance sector to have a consistent offer of classes, Birmingham Pro Class is supported by a simple membership model which allows a collective share in the responsibility for making this happen.  The new bi-weekly sessions are open to pro-dancers, recent graduates and those in training, with all membership fees directly funding the programme.

In addition to receiving exclusive access to two professional classes per week, members will also be offered priority booking and discounted rates for a series of one-off specialist classes and workshops in various styles.

The Birmingham Pro Class programme opens on Tuesday 4 June.

Birmingham Pro Class is delivered and supported by: ACE dance and music, DanceXchange, Birmingham Dance Network, Autin Dance Theatre and Rosie Kay Dance Company.
